WebNov 1, 2011 · Right after the flange, my pipes diameter gets bigger. There is not enough room bewteen the bolt head and the increase of diameter to even get the socket on the bolt head. I can get the stubby wrench in there, but its a huge PITA Unfortunately I do not know what brand my pipes are. The end that takes the flange nut is 5/16-24. The thread going into the head is 5/16-18. These are the specs: 5/16-24 x 3/4" & 5/16-18 x 9/16" for the stock stud.
